• The Festival Executive had given careful consideration to the
number of classes in this syllabus. NO ADDITIONS OR CHANGES will be
made for this festival. Additional classes and suggestions will be
accepted by any Executive member for consideration in next years
festival.
• All performers, accompanists and adjudicators must not use
photocopied copyright music in any circumstances unless written
permission is obtained from the publisher. Presentation of
unauthorized, photocopied music will result in disqualification from
the class.
• Performers require two originals of own choice music
selections; one for the adjudicator and one for the accompanist.
Performers should also have original music for themselves if they are
not performing from memory (i.e. instrumental performances with
accompaniment). Music is to be passed in toe the registration desk at
least 15 minutes before the class.
• Duets, trios, quartets or duos must be on a separate
registration form.
• Entry close date: January 15,
2008. ALL Festival Registration Forms and fees must be received
by the Treasurer no later than January
15, 2008 or postmarked by January
15, 2008. Absolutely NO REGISTRATIONS will be accepted or
processed after January 15, 2008.
• Each participant is responsible for his/her/their stage
arrangements, i.e. props, music stands, unusual lighting, etc. and is
also responsible for returning stage to original state for following
performers.
• Conflicts in scheduling sometimes occur. Where a competitor is
entered in time conflicting classes, the teacher or competitor must
elect to withdraw from sufficient classes to avoid the conflicts.
• If you perform as well as play for other performers, please
indicate those whom you accompany and if possible we will try to
accommodate you in the schedule.
• Each school classroom must register on a separate entry form.
i.e. Mrs. Smith’s Grade 3 class. This is to assist in program
scheduling.
• If a duet, trio or ensemble consists of participants of various
ages and or levels, they must compete at the highest age, grade or
level represented.
